Hi,

That is correct. The ship x,y position may change slightly to better match different effects, but generally it stays at the same x,y position. This is a little counter intuitive but it is the best approach.

so we are on the same page, you are referring to the drawing coords or world coords? Since the ship is centered on the screen I know the drawning coords are half width/height of the screen. But surely the world coords must change to actually move.

Hi,

In Phoenix USC's case the ship world coordinates do change but the ship is drawn at screen center. The ships world coordinates are used to draw that section of the map world.
